For the Love of Things (FLoT) is fully committed to protecting your privacy. We want to provide a safe and secure experience for you, so we are committed to only using your data as set out in this policy. You have the right to request what information is held about you and why, and to ask for rectifications or for information to be erased. If you are not happy with any aspect of how we collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). We should be grateful if you would contact us first if you do have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it for you. By providing us with your data, you warrant to us that you are over 18 years of age.

Working practices and your own data:

Data may include your name, surname and contact data (your address where applicable, phone number, email address), financial data (your bank details and payment card details) and transaction data (details about payments between us).

Information that you are willing to provide to FLoT is used to reply to your enquiry, or as part of a standard working relationship to enable decluttering and organising services. Information is GDPR compliant and confidential and will never be given to third parties without your consent, it will be saved as permitted or required by law or by relevant regulatory authorities. This may only be overridden in your (or my) vital interests or in the public interest, or in certain circumstances where the customer lacks mental capacity to make a decision about the sharing of information itself, or the information that may need to be shared in their best interests.

We will keep a copy of our signed contract and any other consent forms (photos, disposals and covid-19 consent form). We also use a standard enquiry form where we record basic information about your needs, this will be scanned and stored securely on a password protected device.

My partner will always know my whereabouts and the timings of each session for the purpose of health and safety in the case of lone working. This information will not be shared with anyone else unless for the purpose of our safety and it will not be saved by them after our sessions.

Sensitive Data:

We may collect the following sensitive data about you in order to deliver services specifically tailored to your needs. This information is always optional and may include:

- Any relevant physical/ mental health issues

- Any relevant religious/ cultural information relating to beliefs about your belongings

- The name and details of partners/ children/ dependents or pets in the property.

 

Data Storage, retention and security:

Your data is stored securely on a password protected device. Signed terms and conditions with consent forms will be scanned and stored as a paper copy in a locked filing system. Your information is kept as accurate and up to date as possible and will be deleted after an initial enquiry or consultation if we have not heard from you within 1 year or at your own request. If you have been a client of FLoT and it has been 6 years since our last contact, unless requested otherwise, only your surname, first and final date of communication will remain on our database.

We endeavor to ensure that your personal information is maintained and updated correctly. You must inform us of any changes to your personal information to ensure our records are up to date. You have the right to request a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you. We will take commercially reasonable steps to provide you with such access and to correct, amend, or delete information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete.
